Well if your gonna grow one plant the supernova might be allright. I got all the upgrades and can honestly say I was happy with all the products except the cabinet. I prefer using tents myself but if your looking for a small hobby grow this would be what your looking for.

Purchasing the Supernova LED Cabinet is the best possible decision you can make for an all-inclusive grow system. Really. Title: A Professional Engineers Review and Opinion
The system comes well packaged and well protected on a pallet. The packaging is nondescript and looks very much like a large refrigerator box. In all, the shipping weight for everything was 400+ pounds. The cabinet itself is a strong commercial type cabinet with welded seams. Doors are reinforced and the lock is much better than expected. To put it simply, this is not a common and cheaply made unit typically found online or at the local Walmart, Home Depot, etc. It arrived without any damage, not even a scratch or ding.
SuperClosets’ modifications are also quite professional with exceptional attention to detail. Weather stripping, attachments, hardware, and other attached components are above average and also top grade. The magnetic liner provides an easy off, easy on capability for cleaning. The liner has a bright white highly reflective surface which some studies have shown provides better useful reflection than mirrored reflectors. Penetrations are exacting, professional and component fit is equally impressing. All penetrations are equipped with heavy duty black PVC fittings (90 deg Elbows). This provides a smooth place to run wires without having to worry about damaging the insulation against the sharp metal cutouts. It also does a very good job of blocking light from escaping or penetrating the cabinet.
Included components are well made and strong. The tanks/tubs are made of a heavy duty plastic/nylon/HDPE type material. These are much stronger than a typical Walmart or Rubbermade storage bin. Think of it like half way between a rubber made bin and a Heavy Duty Pelican case. The lids are made of the same material and there is a nice tight fit (so much so you may need to use a little muscle to remove the lid.) The trellis netting appears to be made of braided/twisted nylon and is held in place with 4 strong neodymium magnets.
The light is badass. It is made of a thicker sheet metal, powder coated, heavy duty, well ventilated with the internal fans, and quiet. The filters are placed up and out of the way to maximize internal space for growing. This arrangement also allows for better cooling as it draws from the hotter air at the top of the cabinet. Both filter fans are high flow whisper type fans. The two circulation fans are not cheap either. When I first picked one up I noticed they were much heavier and better made than what one would expect. The fan cage, mount, and hardware are all metal, not plastic. They are heavy duty and continuous duty components. The LED light pulley system is also more robust than expected with ratcheting locks. Pull on the cable and it stays put. Push a release button and it moves down freely.
The unit includes four T-5 fluorescent grow fixtures. They have magnets attached which allow for easy relocation if needed. Circulation pumps, tubing, air pumps, and their components are also professional grade. Likewise, timers, electrical components, baskets, pots, testing equipment, chemicals, etc. are all higher quality. Everything is designed for ergonomics and commercial type continuous duty. This stuff will last!
Customer service is BEYOND exceptional. The SuperCloset crew is professional, nice, respectful, helpful, well trained and extremely knowledgable about their equipment, hydroponics, gardening, latest innovations and they truly care about their customers and our success in using their products. If you leave a message, they will definitely call back. If anything is missing, broken or malfunctioning they quickly and graciously take action to make any necessary corrections. They value, enjoy helping and getting to know their customers.
Now for a few things that I would have added or modified:
Wires run out the back of the unit and there are three penetrations that allow this while also providing ventilation. One at the top center, one at the lower right of the upper chamber, and another on the left side of the lower chamber. I would like to see an additional hole on the lower left of the upper chamber to help run wires so they are out of the way and more aesthetic. Also, there is a hole between the upper and lower chambers near the front right side. I feel that this hole may be more beneficial if placed at the back of the cabinet. With all that said, I’m sure that there is a better reason for the placement of these holes than I am aware of.
The manual is a bit outdated. Also, check to see if you have magnets on the T-5 strip lights. If you do, there will not be any clips to attach the fixtures. I like the magnet system better…easier to install and you can easily move the fixtures around a bit if needed.
A few of notes:
The unit is a bit deeper than just the cabinet. This is to accommodate the penetrations and components that hang on the back of the unit.
The instructions are taped to the side of one of the boxes inside the cabinet. You will need an assistant to help install the filters and move the cabinet (take everything out of the cabinet first).
Set up and installation is much much easier than it would appear when you see everything they give you in the packages. I mean, there is a lot of stuff you get with the system. SuperCloset gives you everything you need in one package…everything except water. You will need to provide your own water (LOL).
You may think “jigsaw puzzle” when you first open the boxes. But it’s actually rather easy to get it up and running if you study the manual first (it’s a tad outdated, but still easy to follow). In all I think it took less than 3 hours to get everything running.. The hardest part for me was moving the cabinet indoors.
Once the system is assembled (and no water in it yet) LEVEL the cabinet. You may need a friend to help. I did it by myself with shims and a small hammer. But in some situations the cabinet may need to be tilted while a spacer is placed beneath it.
If you need to move the cabinet on hard flooring (wood/tile/masonary) save a piece of the corrugated box to place under the cabinet. This will help slide the thing where you want it. A truck dolly will do the same, but I found this simple method faster and easier.
Note that the unit comes freight on a pallet. This means a tractor trailer rig will probably want to get to your home to make the delivery. Make sure you have the room in your neighborhood for this. Also, it doesn’t hurt to contact the delivery company a day or so before delivery to coordinate time/route/etc.
A few extras that will make life easier:
Get a Reverse Osmosis water filter. This will remove most minerals, chemicals, dissolved solids, bacteria, etc. from the water. It will also lower the Ph a bit toward neutral. Use the dissolved solids meter and Ph kit that comes with the unit to test the water. If using RO water, you may want to let it settle for a bit to get a good reading on the Ph. Im using a Ph meter and not a chemical test kit. For the RO water I get erroneous readings if tested right out of the faucet. After an hour the water seems to settle down and readings are fast and accurate. If the dissolved solids are still too high for your liking, add a deionizing canister filter as the last filter in the system. This will take the ppm down to almost 0.
Get a pair of the special color corrected glasses. They are a bit pricy, but that light is BRIGHT and in a color spectrum designed for the plants, not our human eyes.
I found that ordering extra magnetic hooks (get the stronger ones) will really help to clean up wire routing and gives you a place to hang tools and stuff. I also found that using a strong magnetic hook makes placing and adjusting the two internal circulation fans much easier.
The system comes with a sample pack of nutrients and chemicals. Go ahead and get the larger kit now. You’re going to need it and if ordered with the closet, the shipping cost is much less.
One last thought. It may be “cheaper” to try and build one of these yourself. But I don’t know if it will be more economical. There is a lot going on and a lot of components. There is a lot of thought, design, trial and error, development expense and years of experience that go into this design and construction. This combined with the fantastic customer service brings a LOT of value to the table that is not necessarily reflected in the cost. There are other perhaps smaller and less expensive companies selling knock-off versions of these cabinets. But I highly doubt that they have the resources and expertise to provide the customer service SuperCloset offers. And, they may not even provide the same quality components. That, and as an engineer, I have an appreciation of intellectual property, and not those who take a good design of someone else and simply copy it. In my career field it’s called intellectual theft.

Great product, definitely would recommend. Would have rated it 5 stars but it’s not that discreet do to the fans, and the space for veg it needs to be couple inches taller for growth.
